We have so many treatment options when it comes to treating asthma. We have many safe oral and inhaled drugs to treat asthma symptoms. It is important that the treatment regimen be carefully fixed according to the needs of the individual. This can be attained by working with your doctor to determine the appropriate treatment to achieve control over your asthma symptoms.  The treatment usually depends on how severe a person’s asthma is. An asthma patient should have a rescue medication like an inhaler for the quick relief of asthma symptoms. Asthma inhalers are handy devices that deliver asthma medications to your lungs. Using the right one correctly can help you get the medication you need to treat an asthma attack.

  • Ventolin inhaler- This is a prescription inhaled medicine used to relieve acute symptoms of asthma. The active ingredient Salbutamol reduces the constriction in your airways, which causes asthma.
  • Asthalin HFA inhaler- The inhaler contains Salbutamol, which works to relax the muscles in the walls of the small airways in the lungs. The rescue medicine helps to treat sudden symptoms of asthma and reduces the inflammation that blocks the airways in the lungs, allowing you to breathe.
  • Tiova Tiova inhaler is used for the shortness of breath, coughing, lung disease and associated conditions. The prescription inhaler works by opening the airways in the lungs.
  • Foracort Inhaler This medication is a combination of Budesonide and Formoterol used for asthmatic bronchitis. The inhaler medication controls the inflammation in the airways and widens its calibre, which allows you to breathe correctly. It is an anticholinergic agent used to treat symptoms of COPD such as bronchitis and emphysema. The medicine is inhaled to widen the airways and allow greater passage for the oxygen to pass through, allowing easier breathing.
  • Duolin Inhaler This asthma medicine contains two active bronchodilating substances namely salbutamol and ipratropium bromide. These two bronchodilators are specially used for treating asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The combination drug relieves symptoms of bronchospasm including tightness o the chest, shortness of breath, and wheezing.
  • Budecort Inhaler Budecort is a corticosteroid type of asthma medication that reduces inflammation in the body. The corticosteroid medication has prescribed the inflammation and swelling of the lungs. It is not prescribed to anyone younger than 18 years of age or anyone who is allergic to the medication.
